I was born and raised here in Santa Rosa. I am a graduate of Santa Rosa High School and Santa Rosa Junior College. I went on to receive my Bachelor's of Science degree in Geology from University of California, Davis. I worked for three years as an environmental geologist. I returned to school and earned my multiple subject teaching credential from Sonoma State University. I have been teaching in the Bellevue Union School District since 2004. I have been teaching 4th grade at Taylor Mountain Elementary since 2007.
On weekends I enjoy spending time with my husband, two children, and four cats. Some of our favorite things to do together (minus our cats) are go to the movies, go on bike rides, have picnics at Armstrong Redwoods, and build sandcastles at the beach. Our favorite place to visit is Monterey. No trip is complete without a visit to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. I love watching the sea otters play. I also enjoy sitting and watching the sea life in the million gallon tank.
